| How to forward to a subdomain to 3rd party website like Twitter |
This tutorial will show you how to forward fanpage.yourdomain.com and twitter.yourdomain.com to your external 3rd party website.
A subdomain is a great way to get more out of your domain. It's not uncommon to have a Twitter or Facebook Fanpage your store. Instead of giving your visitors a ton of URLs to follow-you or friend-you, give them just one. It will 1) Avoid confusion when people search you 2) Improve the quality of your brand. 3) Increase the chance someone will remember you. Using your DownDoggy.com domain
Go to DownDoggy.com and click "MyAccount"
Enter Customer # or Login Name and Password
Click "Manage Domains"
Click Checkbox to select domain to be forwarded. Next, click the "Forward" button > click "Forward to Subdomain" in the dropdown
Type in the name of your subdomain (i.e. twitter.downdoggy.com) and the location of your twitter account (i.e. http://www.twitter.com/downdoggy), Click OK
Congratulations! You have successfully forwarded your DownDoggy.com sub domain to Twitter. You can log out immediately. Allow up to 3 hours for your domain to forward.
Step 6 &7 can be repeated for any other location. For example:
